Your Diamond

Natural and Lab Grown Diamonds

TWO ORGINS - ONE STANDARD OF QUALITY

At Natalia Jewellers, we offer both natural and laboratory-grown diamonds, giving you the freedom to choose the diamond that best suits your preferences. Laboratory-grown diamonds have essentially the same chemical, crystal and optical properties as natural diamonds, but are created in a controlled environment rather than forming naturally after billions of years within the earth.

DIAMOND CLARITY

Beauty in the details

Clarity describes the natural characteristics found within a diamond, called inclusions, and those on its surface, called blemishes.

GIA evaluates these characteristics under 10x magnification, considering their size, number, nature, position and visibility. The GIA Clarity Scale contains 11 grades, raging from Flawless (FL) to Included (I3). Many clarity characteristics are so subtle that they may not be visible to the naked eye.

02

DIAMOND COLOUR

The difference is subtle

For diamonds in the normal colour range, GIA evaluates how close a diamond is to being colourless. The internationally recognized scale begins at D (colourless) and continues through Z (light yellow, brown or grey). These differences can be remarkably subtle, yet colour can have a significant influence on a diamond's appearance, rarity and value. Diamonds are assessed under controlled lighting and compared with established master stones.

The scale is grouped as D-F Colourless. G-J Near colourless. K-M faint. N-R Very Light. S-Z Light.

03

Where brilliance begins

DIAMOND CUT

Cut describes how effectively a diamond's proportions, facets and craftsmanship work together with light. GIA considers brightness, fire and scintillation, long with factors relating to design and craftsmanship such as weight ratio, durability, polish and symmetry. For standard round brilliant diamonds in the D-to-Z colour range, GIA assigns one of five cut grades: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair or Poor.

DIAMOND CARAT

Weight & Presence

Carat refers to a diamond's weight rather than it's physical size, with one carat equal to 200 milligrams. Diamonds of the same carat weight can appear different in size depending on their cut, shape and proportions. Considered alongside cut, colour and clarity, carat helps determine a diamond's overall value and presence- making the ideal choice a balance of quality and size.
